Driving Ranges in Kelowna

Most Kelowna golf courses do not have a driving range. Three places in the Central Okanagan exist purely so you can hit balls, four golf courses sell practice balls to the public, and the rest offer a putting green, a chipping area or a net. If you are visiting and want to warm up, or you have just moved here and are working out where to practise, this page covers Kelowna, West Kelowna and Lake Country, with what a bucket costs and whether you are hitting off grass or mat.

The three dedicated driving ranges

These are practice facilities rather than golf courses, so you turn up without a tee time and nobody minds how long you stay. All three have covered stalls. World Beat is the cheapest by a wide margin at roughly $13.50 per hundred balls on its largest bucket, against about $23 at the other two.

Two of the three are more than a range. Kelowna Driving Range is 300 yards long, keeps an indoor Trackman 4 simulator running through the winter, and has an 18-hole mini golf course at $18 for an adult. The Golf Centre has a 35-yard short game area with sand traps for chipping and putting.

Golf courses that sell range balls to the public

You do not need to be playing the course or be a member at any of these four. Two Eagles is both the cheapest and the only one with heated bays, which is what makes it the one worth knowing about in March and October. Gallagher’s Canyon has the only all-grass double-ended range in the valley and does not publish a price for it.

Courses with no driving range

This is the part that sends people to a search engine, and it is the reason this page exists. Several well-known Kelowna courses have no range, and the golf directory sites say they do. Every row below was read from the course’s own website on 27 September 2026.

How to read this

Per 100 balls is our arithmetic, not theirs. Nobody publishes it, and it is the only honest way to compare a 34-ball bucket against a 185-ball one. We used each operator’s largest bucket with a stated ball count, because that is where the value is. Small buckets cost roughly a quarter more per ball everywhere.

Unconfirmed means unconfirmed. Three courses neither advertise a range nor say they have none. Rather than guess, the row says which evidence points which way and gives you the number to call. A missing rate card entry is evidence, not proof.

Nothing here is floodlit. No range in the Central Okanagan advertises lights, and in autumn the three dedicated ranges close at or before 7pm. If you want to hit a ball after dark, the options are the indoor Trackman simulator at Kelowna Driving Range or the heated bays at Two Eagles. Night golf, on a lit course, only happens at Orchard Greens.

Tax is handled inconsistently because the operators publish it that way. World Beat states its bucket prices include tax. Most of the others do not say either way.

What we found doing this

The reason people type “does Black Mountain golf course have a driving range” into Google is that the golf directory sites answer it wrongly. During this build the same sentence, word for word, turned up on listings for three different Kelowna courses: boasts exceptional practice facilities, including a driving range and putting greens. That is generated text rather than a visit, and at least one of those three courses plainly has no range.

There is also a name collision worth knowing about. The Golf Centre and Kelowna Driving Range are two different businesses, about four kilometres apart. The Golf Centre is on Benvoulin Road. Kelowna Driving Range is the one on Casorso with the mini golf. Older listings, including an earlier version of this site’s own golf page, had them merged into a single entry carrying one business’s address and the other’s website.

Checked 27 September 2026. Seventeen facilities, every one read from the operator’s own website on the same day. Seven sell range balls to the public, seven have no range, three could not be confirmed either way and say so. If you have just hit balls at one of these, or found a price has moved, tell us and we will check it and put the date on it.
