Sani Dump Stations in Kelowna
There is no city-run RV sani dump in Kelowna, and no free one either. Visitors here rely on a handful of gas stations, one provincial park, and the private RV parks, which mostly serve their own registered guests. This page lists every one we could find across Kelowna, West Kelowna and Lake Country, what it costs, and whether you are actually allowed to use it.
Free sani dumps
Three free sani dumps serve the area and all three are on the Westside. There is no free option in Kelowna itself, which is the single most useful thing to know before you plan a route. If you are on the Kelowna side and do not want to cross the bridge, the Shell on Highway 33 charges $3 and waives it if you buy fuel.
| Where | Cost | Area | Notes | Checked |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chevron 2499 Dobbin Rd (Hwy 97) 250-768-7688 |
Free | West Kelowna | On the main highway through Westbank, so the easiest one to reach without a detour. | 2026-09-26 |
| Shell 2551 Dobbin Rd 250-768-0744 |
Free | West Kelowna | Dump only, no water. Fill up somewhere else first. | 2026-09-26 |
| Shell 2501 Main St 250-768-9898 |
Free | West Kelowna | Has drinking water, but not big-rig friendly. Tight for anything long. | 2026-09-26 |
Closed, so do not drive there
One location still appears in RV apps and dump-station databases and is no longer available. It is listed here specifically so you do not waste the trip, which is the only reason to keep a dead entry on a page like this.
| Where | Status | Area | Notes | Checked |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Canadian Tire 1655 Leckie Rd |
Closed | Kelowna | The sani dump here has shut. Reported locally, September 2026. Several national RV databases still list it as a free public dump with fresh water, so expect to see it recommended elsewhere. This also settles a contradiction: City of Kelowna reporting described the Shell on Highway 33 as the only public option in city limits, and with Canadian Tire gone that is now correct. | 2026-09-27 |
Paid sani dumps you can use without staying
Three paid options are open to anyone passing through. Two of them knock the fee off or reduce it if you buy fuel at the same time, which makes them effectively free if you were filling up anyway.
| Where | Cost | Area | Notes | Checked |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Shell, Highway 33 | $3 free with a fuel fill |
Kelowna | Per City of Kelowna reporting in 2025, this is the only public sani dump inside city limits. This site previously listed an Esso here; stations change brand, and Shell is the more recent source. | 2026-09-26 |
| Bear Creek Provincial Park Westside Rd, 9 km off Hwy 97 |
$5 | West Kelowna | Across Westside Road from the gatehouse, beside the Canyon Trail parking area, so you do not drive into the campground. Easy RV access and drinking water. Seasonal, roughly late March to mid October. | 2026-09-26 |
| West Eagle Campground 2325 Old Okanagan Hwy 250-768-7426 |
$5 | West Kelowna | Easy RV access and drinking water, but bring your own hose. | 2026-09-26 |
| Mohawk 3491 Sexsmith Rd |
$5 $2 with a fill From our 2014 listing, not re-verified |
Kelowna | Long-standing entry on this site that we could not confirm from any current source. Treat as unconfirmed until someone checks. | 2026-09-26 |
Registered guests only
These are the private RV parks and resorts. Each has a dump station, and each restricts it to people staying there. Listed so you know not to drive out expecting to use one, which is the mistake this column exists to prevent.

Why Kelowna has no city sani dump
Kelowna has never built one, and it has been argued about at council repeatedly. In 2025 a councillor pushed for public stations. Staff came back saying they could not establish a clear need, on the reasoning that most local campgrounds are already fully serviced and that demand comes mainly from residents emptying their own RVs rather than from visitors.
A permanent site with basic facilities was costed at $100,000 to $250,000. Council agreed to look at the feasibility of a city-owned dump as part of the 2026 budget, which is deliberated in December. So this may change, and if it does we will update this page.
How to read this page
Cost and access are separate columns on purpose. "Free" and "anyone may use it" are different claims, and running them together is how people end up turned away at a gate. A guests-only dump can be free to guests and unavailable to you.
The West Kelowna entries come from Visit Westside, the official Westside tourism body, which keeps the best list we found and publishes phone numbers. Bear Creek's details come from BC Parks. The municipal section comes from council reporting through 2025 and 2026.
What is not verified, and why. No gas station publishes a sani dump on its own website, so those rows cannot be confirmed the way a campground can. Where a row is unconfirmed it says so and gives you a phone number. We would rather tell you to ring ahead than be confidently wrong about a forty-minute drive.

Checked 27 September 2026. Twelve guest-only parks, three free stations, four paid ones and one closed. One row is marked unconfirmed and says so plainly. If you have just used one of these, or found one shut, tell us and we will check it and put the date on it.
